So...my frequent blog readers should be familiar with my love affair with flowers. From hydrangeas to ranunculus to peonies, I've shown that I'm not shy about my love of beautiful flowers. The latest addition to this favorite flower story line is the classic orchid. If I could sum up the overall feeling that orchids give an event in one word, it would be elegance. These flowers are simple yet dramatic. They are an easy way to add a modern feel to any wedding or event. Orchids come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. Of all of the species, the phalaenopsis and cymbidium orchids have to be my favorites! Their colors range from white, yellow, purple, and pink. For floral arrangements, orchids are simply beautiful by themselves but are equally beautiful when paired with other flowers like calla lilies and roses.
